Honey Pot Wood

The site, originally quarried, was restored in the 1990's by the Stockton on Tees Borough Council, and is now maturing into a lovely woodland park.

Working with Stockton on Tees Borough Council, Stillington and Whitton Parish Council managed to secure an ‘Awards for All’ Grant for improvements to Honey Pot Wood. The funding allowed the wood to become more accessible and easier to enjoy; footpaths were widened, improvements to the accesses and gates were made, benches and seats repainted and the beck cleared.

Honey Pot Wood is now home to an abundance of wildlife, and visitors can take a pleasant walk through maturing woodland and relax beside Whitton Beck. The local public footpaths connect the woodland to the villages of Whitton and Carlton.

Access to the site can be found off the Whitton to Redmarshall Road, where there is a small car park.
